Flyover at Kahna Kacha Defence Road Lahore

Project Description

The Kahna Kacha Flyover Lahore is located at Railway Line crossing Defence Road and is part of the Lahore Urban Transport Master Plan of 2011 - 2030. Kahna Flyover provides an uninterrupted flow of traffic plying along the road which was plagued by the heavy freight traffic generated by the Industry in the vicinity and the residential areas. The railway crossing on the Kahna Kacha road was a major bottleneck in the free flow of this heavy traffic.

Dualization of Sheikupura - Gujranwala Road

Project Description

The proposed road offtakes from Pir Bahar Shah Chowk, Sheikhupura and leads towards Gujranwala. This is an important road that connects two main cities Sheikhupura - Gujranwala. It also crosses Motorway (M-2) 4 km from Sheikhupura. The heavy traffic from Jhang, Faisalabad, Multan, Sahiwal, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Jhelum, and Rawalpindi is plying on the road and vice versa.

Vehicle Inspection and Certification System in Punjab (VICS)

Project Description

Punjab has witnessed a rapid increase in vehicle population in the last decade. An average annual growth rate of 14.54% has been recorded in vehicle growth from 1994 to 2015. Similarly, a very high growth rate has been observed in the ownership of motorcycles and private cars. This rapid increase in vehicle population has not only resulted in environmental degradation, and congestion but also raised concerns about road safety.

Project Description

Lahore, a cultural and literary hub, is the only cosmopolitan city in Punjab and has shown tremendous growth in recent decades which resulted in huge pressure on the existing infrastructure of the city. Realizing the gravity of the situation, Government of the Punjab initiated a mega project of Lahore Ring Road which is a strategic road that serves as a major corridor around the city and a gateway to the economic hub of Punjab province.
