Project Description

Lahore, a cultural and literary hub, is the only cosmopolitan city in Punjab and has shown tremendous growth in recent decades which resulted in huge pressure on the existing infrastructure of the city. Realizing the gravity of the situation, Government of the Punjab initiated a mega project of Lahore Ring Road which is a strategic road that serves as a major corridor around the city and a gateway to the economic hub of Punjab province. This project involves the highest ever component of earthwork in the history of Lahore. Insistence was made on Water Bound Macadam Methodology with a view to ensuring better quality. The project aimed at providing a high capacity and efficient road facility to cater for inter suburban travel demand and city by passable traffic to relieve the city road network from the congestion / pressure of extraneous traffic.

  • Utility Box Culverts (2M*2M) = Every 5.0 Km
  • Utility Pipes (2*225mm ø) = Every 2.5 Km

  • SL-I: It starts from Sui Gas Town and ends at Ferozepur Road. The alignment passes through Kamahan village, crosses the Hadiara drain, and ends at an interchange to be constructed at Gajjumatta on Ferozepur Road.
  • SL-II: It starts from Gajjumatta Interchange and ends at Raiwind Road. This part of alignment passes near Islampura, Halloki, through Fazaia Housing Society, and ends at the interchange to be constructed on Raiwind Road.
Concession Period: 25 Years
Construction Period: 12 Months
Transaction Structure: Toll-based Revenue Collection with MRG Payments & Windfall Sharing
