Contents Related to Right to Information (under section-8 of the RTI Act,2013)

Under Article 19-A of the Constitution, the Right to Information (RTI) is a fundamental right of every citizen of Pakistan, ensuring access to information in all matters of public importance, subject to regulation and reasonable restrictions imposed by law. In addition to government departments, citizens can also access information from private bodies that are substantially financed by the government. RTI is based on the principle that citizens, as taxpayers, are the rightful owners of public information. It promotes transparency, accountability, elimination of corruption, and improvement in public service delivery. The Punjab PPP Authority is proactively providing information to citizens under RTI.
